4th Academic Guest Lecture by Dr. Aman M Hingorani on ‘Constitutional Underpinnings of the Kashmir Issue’.

The Constitutional Law Society is delighted to invite Dr. Aman M Hingorani, Advocate, Supreme Court for a guest lecture on the topic: 'Constitutional Underpinnings of the Kashmir Issue'
The historic move which was undertaken by the government in power on the 5th of August, 2019 will go on to be as significant in the books of law as have the days of the Emergency, giving rise to new legal precedents and interpretations impacting each and every stakeholder in the issue of Kashmir. The Constitutional Law Society aims to discuss and deliberate on the issue, observing the constitutional changes coupled with the social upheaval that has been caused with this significant move. 

The guest lecture will be held on the 26th of August, 2019 between 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm and the venue for the same will be in the Seminar Hall, Academic Block. 
 
A brief profile of Dr. Aman M. Hingorani-
Dr. Aman M. Hingorani is a practising lawyer, arbitrator and mediator at Hon'ble Supreme Court and the High Court of Delhi. Dr Hingorani has acted as an arbitrator and as adjunct faculty to teach students and run training courses for judicial officers, lawyers and law teachers at several institutions in India (including National Judicial Academy, Bhopal; Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi; Indian Law Institute, New Delhi) and abroad (including Keble College, University of Oxford, UK; Law School, Warwick University, UK; South Asian Institute of Advanced Legal and Human Rights Studies, Dhaka, Bangladesh). 
Dr. Hingorani has previously addressed national and international audiences on the Kashmir issue and his celebrated book 'Unravelling the Kashmir Knot' published by Sage Publication which received rave reviews from former Justices of the Supreme Court, journalists and diplomats for its unique perspective on Kashmir. Dr Hingorani is also a frequent contributor to LiveLaw and has been writing constantly on Article 370 in the days following its abrogation.
