Brief Biographical Note: Mr. Kumarjeeb Pegu currently serves as Assistant Professor of Law at NLUO. Prior to joining this institution, he worked with KIIT School of Law, Bhubaneswar. He completed his undergraduate studies in B.A. Political Science (Hons) at S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, North Campus, University of Delhi, where he was recognized as the ‘Best All-rounder’ in his academic batch and received the S. Mohinder Singh Memorial Scholarship Award. He earned his LL.B from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, where he actively participated in the Legal Aid Society and served as the ‘Public Relations Secretary’ for the Counseling and Welfare Cell for the Northeastern States during the 2013-14 academic year. Additionally, he obtained his LL.M from Nalsar Law University, Hyderabad. His academic interests primarily revolve around Indigenous Peoples and Rights, environmental law, international law, and related subjects, particularly within the realm of public international law and international institutions. Beyond academia, Mr. Pegu is an avid nature travel and fosters cultural exchanges.
