IDG, NLUO will host Mr. Arun Bothra, the Additional DGP, CID – Crime Branch and Transport Commissioner (Odisha) on 22nd March, 2023 at the NLUO campus. The theme of the session is “Police Investigations: Insights and Challenges”
Brief profile of Mr. Arun Bothra
Mr. Bothra is a 1996 batch IPS officer, currently serving as the Additional Director General of Police, Criminal Investigation Department - Crime Branch (CID - CB) and Transport Commissioner in Odisha. He is well-known for solving high profile cases such as the Patnagarh parcel bombing case and the Nayagarh murder case.
Mr. Bothra has served as the Managing Director (MD) of Capital Region Urban Transport (body that manages public transit systems including MO Bus) and as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Odisha State Road Transport Corporation. He has been featured along with Elon Musk as one of the ‘21Heroes2021’ by the Transformative Urban Mobility Initiative for successful and sustainable mobility initiatives in 2021. He has also been the Inspector General of Police (Crime, Modernisation, Economic Offences and Railways) of Odisha. He has also served as a Superintendent of Police (SP) and Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of the Central Bureau of Investigation.
