UNNAT BHARAT ABHIYAN CELL 2.0

NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY ODISHA
The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), the flagship programme of the Ministry of Education, was founded to breathe life into the idea of attaining self-sufficient ‘village republics.
The UBA cell of NLUO, established in 2018, intends to enrich the five adopted villages through structured community outreaching. It runs with five off-shoots: Swachh Bharat, Sikshit Bharat, Swasth Bharat, Swavlambi Bharat and Sampann Bharat. The five villages adopted under the programme are Dompada, Kushpangi, Naraj, Mundali and Amarendrapur, situated in Cuttack district of Odisha

VISION AND MISSION

The Vision of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell of NLUO is to holistically develop our adopted villages in terms of both Human Development and Material (economic) development.

To provide knowledge and feasible solutions in order to improve the livelihood in rural areas lies at the key consideration while implementing the vision of the Cell. The Cell also aims to work towards the developmental processes of Gram Panchayat so as to enable village clusters to achieve sustainable development and better quality of life.

  1. HEALTH SENSITISATION CAMP AND REGISTRATION OF ABHA HEALTH CARDS
    A health sensitization camp, under swasth bharat offshoot of uba, was conducted at the mundali village, cuttack in order to spread awareness regarding registration of health cards which have been made available by the central government to uplift the status of healthcare at the grass root level where there is usually no access to proper and streamlined healthcare facilities.The unnat bharat abhiyan, established by the ministry of education has five offshoots, one of which is swasth bharat which primarily aims at disseminating information and awareness regarding healthcare facilities which exist in the status quo however have failed to reach the marginalized sectors of the society due to lack of literacy and an equitable access to resources.With the aim of reducing these gaping holes in the existing policies and it’s implementation, this field trip was organized. The programme began with the members of the unnat bharat abhiyan cell conducting a skit.The skit depicted and explained the importance of abha health care cards and its benefits. Due procedure of making the abha healthcare card, under the ayushman bharat scheme of central government, which allows for the card holders to avail free healthcare services in any medical establishment across the state is also explained.
    The skit also apprised the village community of the multiple benefits that can be construed from having the health card.
  2. PREPARATION OF SAMPLE QUESTION PAPERS OF CLASS 10TH BOARD EXAMS FOR STUDENTS OF ALL THE ADOPTED VILLAGES
    The unnat bharat abhiyan committee of national law odisha has carried out multiple activities to assist the residents of the five adopted villages namely–dompada, mundali, amarendrapur, and kushpangi. Taking inspiration from those visits, the members of uba prepared sample question papers for the class x board exams of the students. Naraj this was carried out after conducting extensive research on the issues of exam preparation faced by the members of the villages. The members prepared a set of question papers of each subject that the students were appearing for in order to support their learning through tailored resources.The papers were prepared to align with their curriculum and familiarize the students with the paper pattern and rid them of any stress before the examinations. This initiative was thoroughly appreciated by both the students and the teachers in helping them test their exam preparation.
  3. ORGANISATION OF FLOWER SHOW 2024
    National law university recently arranged a beautiful flower show. This colorful threeday event attracted attendees and participants from many schools, universities and government departments with its amazing display of flowers. The event kicked off with a floral stunning exhibition, followed by a vibrant cultural program featuring music, dance, and theater performances students various by from schools, celebrating traditional modern themes.Uba played a key role in the event, coordinating proceedings and showcasing their initiatives through interactive booths. They effectively engaged with attendees, promoting their mission and commitment to sustainable development and rural empowerment through exhibits and seminars the public was informed about uba’s work as a result of this contact, and many were encouraged to support its goal. In summary, the flower display at national law university was a delightful celebration of art, culture, and nature, leaving attendees with newfound knowledge and appreciation.
