National Law University Odisha offering B.A. (Law) Programme in five specialized vocational streams connected with law and legal profession. In view of the National Educational Policy (NEP) 2020 suggesting job ready courses with multiple entry and exit points. The programme aims to generate job ready skilled graduates. NLUO is offering B.A.(Law) in the following streams

  1. Legal profession Assistant
  2. Legal Journalism
  3. Legal Advocacy
  4. Legal Counselors
  5. Law and Entrepreneurship

*This degree does not entitle the students to practice law but makes them eligible to join 3 years LL.B Course.

*25% seats shall be reserved horizontally for applicants under General, ST & SC Candidates under State Domicile Reservation.

The above seat allocation is based on the total intake of 50 seats for the B.A. (Law) Programme. The distribution ensures compliance with the reservation policy as outlined by the Government of Odisha.


*Eligibility Criteria for Domicile Reservation: Candidates who have passed 12th or any other equivalent examination from the State of Odisha and secured above 35 %  marks (or its equivalent grade) in the said examination from any recognized College/University in the State of Odisha.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION FOR ADMISSION TO THREE B.A. (LAW) PROGRAMME:

  • Any person with 10+2 /12th/equivalent exam from any recognized School/College/Institution will be eligible for admission to the course.
  • No age limit is required to take admission.
  • ADMISSION PROCEDURE
  • The admission into the 3 years B.A.(LAW) Programme will be through the SAMS, Government of Odisha portal during the commencement of the every academic year.
  • All the rules and regulation of the SAMS will be followed for admission into the programme.
  • Students will be selected as per the merit list upon the marks secured in the 12th /any equivalent examination.
