The 5th edition of The Intra University Debating Championship (IUDC), 2021 took place from 26th to 28th November 2021 virtually. The tournament was conducted in Asian Parliamentary debate (APD) format on a specially designed Discord server. The Literary and Debating Committee, NLUO invited renowned debaters from the Indian as well as International Debating circuit as Core Adjudicators and Invited Adjudicators to make the event a success. The event saw immense participation from all the batches, especially the first years.
IUDC, since years, has been an exceptional platform for the freshly inducted batch. Living up to the expectations, the Batch of 2026 formed a major part of the enthusiastic participation. With 4 out of the 6 of qualifying ?eams being purely from the first year, the IUDC gave a glimpse of the famous ‘college life’ to multiple talented budding debaters and freshers.

The Organizing Committee was able to pull of one of the smoothest ever tournament especially in the online format. After numerous in rounds and out rounds, the enthralling two-day tournament was concluded in a grand fashion by our respected Registrar Dr. Yogesh sir in presence of the Faculty Advisors of Literary & Debating Committee, Ms. Kaushiki Bramha and Mrs. Dipanwita Mitra.
