National Law University Odisha Celebrated 70th Van Mahotsav in Association with Rastriya Kisan Parivar
Van Mahotsav is celebrated in India from July 1 to 7 was started as a campaign with the meaningful ambition to save the mother earth. To create awareness and taking initiative towards it, National Law University Odisha celebrated Tree Plantation as a part of Van Mahotsav in association with Rastriya Kisan Parivar in its campus on 06-07-2019.The Vice Chancellor of NLU Odisha, Prof.Dr. Sri Krishna Deva Rao opened the ceremony by a welcome address where he encouraged to preserve trees, which play a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance. Mr. Bhartuhari Mahtab, Member of Parliament graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his speech, he put emphasis on creating an herbal garden in the campus. Students, Volunteers of Rastriya Kisan Parivar, teaching and non-teaching staff members of the University including the dignitaries enthusiastically participated in the activity of planting trees in spite of heavy rain. Mr.Santosh Upadhyay, and Mr. Murali Dhar Sahoo the president and General secretary of Rastriya Kisan Parivar respectively were also present in the event.

NLUO conducted Prevention Of Sexual Harassment (POSH) workshop for its staff

National Law University Odisha conducted a workshop on the basics of POSH Training on 3rd July 2019. The objective of POSH training is to create awareness around what constitutes sexual harassment and provide a concrete understanding about the ways and means by which an individual and institute can prevent any mishaps, and protect their students, staff, and faculty members under the law governing the same. Your DOST Expert, Ms. Mini Nilkund, conducted the session. All the staff of the University actively participated through question answer sessions. It was a very much learning session for all the staff.
