About Mr. Kumarjeeb Pegu

Mr. Kumarjeeb Pegu currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Law at the National Law University Odisha (NLUO). He has previously worked in similar capacity at the KIIT School of Law, KIIT (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar.

Mr. Pegu completed his B.A. (Hons.) in Political Science from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, University of Delhi (North Campus), where he was recognized as the Best All-Rounder of his academic batch and received the S. Mohinder Singh Memorial Scholarship Award. He earned his LL.B. from the Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, where he actively participated in the Legal Aid Society and served as the Public Relations Secretary of the Counseling and Welfare Cell for the Northeastern States during the 2013–2014 academic year. He later pursued his LL.M. from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad.

His academic and research interests focus on Indigenous Peoples and their rights, environmental law, international law, and allied subjects, particularly within the framework of public international law and international institutions.

Beyond academia, Mr. Pegu is an avid nature traveller and a keen explorer of diverse cultures and communities.
