This course explores the significant role that filmsplay in advocating for social change across various domains, including gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights,environmental activism, caste-based discrimination, disability rights, and indigenous rights. Through a critical analysis of films and documentaries, students will examine how cinema has been used as a powerful tool to raise awareness, challenge societal norms, and influence public opinion and policy decisions.
