16 &17 Oct: Prabhaat (NLUO) – The Barefoot Learners Collective  is conducting a Two-Day Certificate Course on “Drafting of Commercial Contracts”

 

About the course:

The Certificate Course being organized by “Prabhaat is designed with the objective to acquaint students with the drafting of commercial documents such as domestic and international arbitration clauses, term sheets, joint venture agreements, share purchase agreements and shareholder agreements and other such documents from a practitioner’s as well as a transaction lawyer’s perspective. The course will cover key concepts such as understanding issues related to rights of first refusal, representations, and warranties, startup funding, etc.

Partner at Rab & Rab Associates LLP | Visiting Professor at NLSIU Bangalore | International Policy Consultant at Lexidale | He is a well-known Arbitrator in the country and has also judged and mentored several national and international moot teams (Eg. Vis East and West, Manfred Lachs, NLS Arb, etc.)

About “PRABHAAT”

Prabhaat is an intensive project that is aimed at tackling the problems of education crisis by imparting holistic education to the under-privileged for their all-round development and by working towards reformation in the current education system.

Objectives of the Project:

·  To put drop-outs back to school and retain them till higher secondary level.

·  To work towards improving the level of elementary education to such an extent that it meets the required content standards.

·  To educate students about various career opportunities and to prepare them for availing scholarships after Higher Secondary education.

·  To use teaching as a means to empower people around us.

·  To encourage research in the field of education and to use legal aid as a method to strive for education reforms.

·  To make students environment friendly and responsible.

We are currently teaching students in a few slums of Cuttack and nearby areas and have many more upcoming projects under the umbrella of PRABHAAT. 

We are organising this Course for the purpose of fundraising since financial constraints have been a huge challenge for us.
