The team comprising Revathi Thushara Tapila, Ayushi Shukla and Amit Kumar has been declared as winners of the 9th Justice P. N. Bhagwati International Moot Court Competition 2019.

Additionally, the team got the citation of 2nd Best Memorial and Revathi Thushara Tapila was adjudged as the Best Speaker (Female). This achievement has continued the winning streak of NLU Odisha in 2019.

We heartily congratulate the team on the achievement.

The Literary and Debating Committee of National Law University, Odisha is hosting the fourth edition of NLUO British Parliamentary Debate 2019 on the 23rd & 24th March 2019.

NLUO being the only institution in the Eastern Circuit to offer British Parliamentary styled tournaments has consequently witnessed participation from teams within and across the border in its previous editions. Keeping up the old tradition of maintaining quality and facilitating a highly competitive debate, we are happy to announce that this year we are inviting applications for subsidized adjudicators and providing financial aid to international teams! And of course, this time too, we promise a stellar adjudication core, enthralling motions and all in all a well-rounded debating experience. We also intend to ensure a hospitable environment and comfortable accommodation arrangements for our fellow debaters. Besides institutional teams, we are also extending the dais to cross-teams and independent adjudicators to compete for prize money exceeding One Lakh Rupees!

Format:British Parliamentary format followed at the Worlds Universities Debating Championships (WUDC)

The registration fee per person has been fixed as follows:

With Accommodation- Rs. 1800/-

Without Accommodation- Rs. 1400/-

For International Teams- Rs. 1200/-

National Law University Odisha has continued its legacy to perform exceptionally well in Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, the most prestigious moot court competition in the world.

The team comprising Debarshi Chakraborty, Kevin Mathew George, Suhel Qureshi, and Vegadarshi Karun, has been adjudged as the Runners Up of the India Rounds of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2019. The team has thus qualified for the international rounds to be held in Washington, D.C, United States of America.
