Team from National Law University Odisha comprising of?strong>Deepika?ungenhally, Rithika Mathur?nd?strong>Toshika Soni?/strong>has been adjudged as Joint?unners-Up in the Asia-Pacific Rounds of the?strong>Manfred Lachs Space Law Moot Court Competition 2020.
Under the revised Asia Pacific Region Competition?ules, owing to the public health situation, the team was graded solely on the basis of the memorials and was ranked second amongst forty participating teams.

Team NLUO chaired as Core Adjudicators in the Parliamentary Debate Competition at SOA National Institute of Law
NLUO students, Ajeta Anand and Maxwin Rayen, have chaired as Core Adjudicators in the Parliamentary Debate Competition of the 6th All India Law School Meet, ‘Legal Spectra-2020’ organised SOA National Institute of Law.

The team comprising?poorva Upadhyay,?alash Moolchandani?nd?ashvardhan Singh has been?djudged ‘Winners’?n the?2th NUJS HSF National Moot Court Competition 2019-20.
Additionally, the team has also won the ‘Best Appellant Memorial’ citation in the competition.
This victory has added another feather in the list of achievements that National Law University?disha has recorded in the year so far.

“NLUO adjudged Winners’ in the 6th DSNLU Moot Court Competition 2020”.
The National Law University Odisha team team comprising of Abhishek Singh, Amiya Krishna Upadhyay and Kirti Talerja has been adjudged ‘Winners’ in the 6th DSNLU Moot Court Competition 2020.
Additionally, Kirti Talerja was adjudged ‘Best Speaker – final rounds’ of the competition. The team has also won the ‘Best Memorial’ citation in the competition.

The team comprising Gaurav Jairaj, Kavya Lalchandani, Medhashree Verma and Siddharth Jain has been adjudged as Semi-Finalist in 4th Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Moot 2020. The team also won the “Best Written Submissions” award in the world rounds of the competition. The team had earlier qualified for the World Oral Rounds, being amongst the Top 8 teams across the globe to have qualified for the world oral rounds.
We wish the team the best of luck for the upcoming rounds

We are delighted to share with you the good news of our first year student, Ms. Prachi Chowdhary, winning two bronze medals in Lawn Bowls Women’s Fours and Triples at National Khelo India Youth Games hosted in Assam from 10-22 January 2020.
She represented the State of West Bengal in the National Khelo India Youth Games. After twelve days of constant hard work and perseverance, she not only had medals to celebrate the victory but also had memories that will cherish for lifetime.
Lawn Bowling is a unique sport introduced in the Khelo India National Games for the first time. It is usually played on a large, rectangular, precisely levelled and manicured grass or synthetic surface known as a bowling green which is divided into parallel playing strips called rinks.
Introduction of this sport made the National Games very diverse and inclusive in nature. This sport is gathering a lot of support in the Indian states due to the atypical and exceptional format.
Prachi says, “‘the experience of representing not just her state but the University and family was truly exhilarating””. She further says that the game helped her to increase her focus and concentration.
Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice- Chancellor congratulated her and promised to help her to nurture her talent and interest in the game and facilitate so that she can make the state and the University proud in future events.

Team NLUO won various citations at the IIT Bhubaneswar Parliamentary Debate.
A contingent from National Law University Odisha participated in IIT Bhubaneshwar Parliamentary Debate held on 18th and 19th January 2020 and marked their presence in style. The team comprising of Rasmani Raghuvanshi, Ashraf Belal, and Prajjwal Shrivastav adjudged as Winner of the competetion, Additionally Prajjwal Shrivastav declared as best speaker, and Ashraf Belal won the prize of 2nd Best Speake. Varun Gakhar adjudged as Finalist Adjudicator and Samrath Kaur, Arjun Tyagi, Kishitz Ujala,Armaan Arora, Muskan Jain, Vedant Sharma were the Semi-finalists of the event.
NLUO Qualified the Memorial Qualifier rounds of the 4th Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Moot 2020.

The team has thus?ualified?or the?orld Oral Rounds to be conducted in?ondon from 7th to 9th February, 2020.
Having participated in the moot for the first time, the team is amongst the Top 8 to have qualified from across the globe to the World Oral Rounds of this moot.
We congratulate the team for their tremendous performance and wish them all the best for the world oral rounds.?

NLUO contingent has been declared as the 1st Runner Up in Virudhaka 2019.
The Sports contingent of NLUO representing the University in different games has been declared as the 1st Runner Up in Virudhaka 2019, the annual sports fest of National Law Institute University, Bhopal, which was conducted from 10th October 2019 to 13th October 2019.
