Ms. Richa Singh is an academic, researcher, and legal scholar specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Data Protection, and Technology Law with 3+ years of experience in academia. She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Law at the National Law University Odisha (NLUO), where she teaches courses on Data Protection Laws, Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, and Artificial Intelligence in Justice Delivery.

She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at NALSAR University of Law, with research focusing on AI and Data Sovereignty. She holds an LL.M. in Law and Technology from Hidayatullah National Law University and a B.B.A. LL.B. from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University, along with a Diploma in Cyber Laws from the Asian School of Cyber Laws.

Before joining NLU Odisha, she worked at Gujarat National Law University as a Teaching and Research Associate (Law), where she actively contributed to teaching, legal research, academic initiatives, and student mentorship.

During her undergraduate years, she actively participated in national and international moot court competitions. She was the Winner of the 10th Professor S.P. Sathe National Moot Court Competition (ILS Law College, Pune, 2016) and the Runners-up at the Surana & Surana Trial Advocacy Competition, National Law Institute University, Bhopal (2016) based on interception of call records. In her brief experience at AZB & Partners she researched on Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), CAN-SPAM Act, & EFTA.

She has authored scholarly publications on AI and data protection and has presented her research at several national and international conferences, including those held in Sri Lanka and at leading national law universities across India.
