20 Sep 2022
On the 16th of September 2022, the Centre for Public Policy, Law and Good Governance of NLUO, in collaboration with Agami organised a session on ‘Law, Justice and Career Opportunities Beyond the Conventional Landscape’ for undergraduate and postgraduate law students, Director and Co-Directors of various research centres at the University. The session was delivered by Supriya Sankaran, Rashika Narain and Smita Gupta.
The session offered an insight into the growing relationship of Artificial Intelligence with Law and how the justice system can benefit from this relationship. Resource persons shared examples of start-ups and non-profit organisations using Law and AI to strengthen research, social services, and justice delivery mechanisms. Examples were also drawn from the work done by law students as interns and professionals to encourage the students of NLUO to explore this new and expanding field.
Agami is a non-profit organisation and a think tank working to further the cause of justice through collaborative action. CLPPGG and Agami have earlier collaborated to work on creating the KHOJ (Know Your High Court Judges) database that was released at the 9th Convocation of NLUO on the 17th of September 2022.
